Complete refurbishment of a bungalow in Emsworth, including a garage conversion to create a dedicated studio for the owner’s glass art business.

The main property underwent a full renovation. All existing floors were removed and replaced with new floorboards and finishes. The property was fully rewired and replumbed, with a new heating system installed throughout. Internal upgrades included a new kitchen, bathroom, doors, architraves, and complete replastering.

Engineered oak flooring was installed in the bedrooms and hallway. The fireplace was refurbished, and new flooring was laid in the kitchen area. A Howdens kitchen was fitted, and the bathroom was redesigned to include a walk in shower, built in seating, and a bespoke concealed shower system.

Structural changes included removal of a dining room window and installation of patio doors to improve access and light. The utility area was upgraded with a warm roof, the external door was removed, and the space was integrated into the main house.

A leaking chimney breast caused by porous brickwork was repaired and rendered to resolve the issue. The bungalow was fully stripped back and redecorated to a high standard throughout.

The existing garage roof was raised from a sloped structure to a level roof, providing sufficient head height for studio use. Electrical upgrades included installation of a new fuse board to support a glass kiln, along with a Howdens utility area with sink and running water.
